Online registration now open for Luray Little League

LURAY — Early Bird Registration is now open online for the 2023 season of the Luray Little League. Early Bird rates are $55 for T-Ball and $75 for all other divisions. This represents up to 60-percent savings off rates after Feb. 11.

Standard rates to play ball in the League this upcoming spring are $65 for T-Ball and $85 for all other divisions. After Feb. 11, those rates will increase to $125 for all divisions.

“As a member of the Luray community, your child will not only have the chance to participate in a beloved American pastime, but will also have the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteering and sportsmanship,” states a recruitment flyer for the Luray Little League.

“Sports have the power to bring people together and create a positive impact, and Little League is no exception,” the flyer continues. “By signing up for Little League, your child will not only be improving their physical skills, but will also be making a difference in their community.”

Early Bird registration is being conducted through Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Walk-in registration will be held on the following days and times:

• Wednesday, Feb. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m.

• Saturday, Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.

• Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon.

In-person tryouts will be held on two consecutive Saturdays in February — Feb. 18 and Feb. 25.

Walk-in registration and tryouts will be held at the Field 5 press box at Ralph Dean Park.

The various age divisions being offered by Luray Little League for the 2023 season include:

T-BALL ( ages 4-6)

Baseball coach pitch (ages 6-8)

Baseball minor player pitch (ages 8-11)

Baseball majors (ages 9-12)

Baseball Seniors (ages 12-16)

Softball coach pitch (ages 5-8)

Softball player pitch (ages 8-11)

Softball majors (ages 9-12)
