May 15, 1986 — The Winchester-based O’Sullivan Corporation announced plans Monday to produce plastic automotive parts at a manufacturing plant in Luray.
County Administrator Ronald Good read the announcement at the Page County Board of Supervisors monthly session.
According to the O’Sullivan release, the company expects to hire up to 200 employees initially. Chemists, engineers, managers and technical staff will be hired in late fall and most production workers will be hired in the spring of 1987.
The company plans to open a recruiting office in Luray this summer.
O’Sullivan officials plan to begin construction in June at the Huffman industrial site in east Luray. The site is located between the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks and the U.S. 211 bypass near the Wallace Computer Forms plant.
