Painting headed for embassy

June 10, 1965One of Luray’s artists will have the unusual distinction of having her oil painting hung in the Australian Embassy in Washington.

The picture was purchased by a representative of the embassy during an art exhibit at the Luray Singing Tower.

The painting will hang at a later date in the Cranberry, Australia art collection of the Commercial Counsellor.

The painting is of three sailing ships in a disturbed background with rock wall, sky and ocean as depicted by Mrs. Edwin Markowitz.
