Parish to be divided

September 30, 1965 — A part of Stony Man Lutheran Parish is scheduled to become the Blue Ridge Lutheran Parish effective Oct. 1.

Two other Lutheran churches will be added to the parishes.

Beth Eden on Dry Run and Grace at Ida will remain in the Stony Man Parish. St. James Lutheran Church at Rileyville will become a preaching point in this parish. Blue Ridge Lutheran Parish will be composed of Morning Star Church and the Bethlehem Church near Kimball.

Mount Calvary Lutheran Church near Stony Man will remain as it is, in no parish, and no regular services scheduled.

Mount Calvary is the oldest Lutheran Church in Page County and is called the “Mother Church.”
