Paulette Gay Walters Stillwill, 72, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born on January 11, 1954, in Harrisonburg and was a daughter of the late Owen Lee Walters and Rosie Zeta McCoy Walters.
Paulette is survived by three sons, George Stillwill III, Justin Stillwill and William Stillwill, all of Luray; a sister, Pat Thompson of Stanley; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her companion, Gregory Metheny.
Paulette was a kind and gentle soul who never met a stranger. She kept her three boys at the center of her world always.
She lived without judgment and gave people a place to feel safe and accepted. She was simply someone you couldn’t help but love.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
A private graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 2, at the McCoy Family Cemetery in Stanley by Pastor Audre King.
