Page County High School sophomore quarterback Hayden Plum scored three touchdowns against rival Luray last Thursday to help the Panthers earn only their second region playoff berth since 1993.

Plum scored the first and last points of Page’s homecoming football game on Thursday. The sophomore opened up with a 3-yard run that capped off a 12-play drive, before hitting junior Dylan Hensley for a 5-yard touchdown pass on the next possession.

Plum then ended the game with a dazzling 53-yard run that saw him break several tackles and cross the field before finding the endzone to cap off the 37-28 win against the Bulldogs.

The Panthers (4-1) face the Rams of Strasburg (5-1) in a Region 2B semifinal at 7 p.m. this Friday at Strasburg High School.
