Reward given for finding escaped prisoner

Luray Main St old

October 16, 1890 — Constable J.M. Coffman, of Rockingham County, arrested at Elkton last Monday Walter Willis, the boy who broke jail in Luray several weeks ago.

Willis had been lodged in jail here charged with breaking into a store at Shenandoah City, and since he broke out has been loitering in this Elkton community.

Sheriff Chapman had offered a reward of $25 for his arrest, which amount he promptly paid Constable Coffman on the delivery of his prisoner.
