June 28, 1962 — News that the rural route at Rileyville is to be consolidated with Luray rural Routes 1 and 4, effective Aug. 4, has met with considerable indignation from Rileyville residents who protest that if this route is removed it will only be a short time before the Rileyville Post Office is lost.
These citizens plan to take whatever steps they can to prevent this and have a proposal that they think is much better from the standpoint of economy which is the reason given for the change.
