Robert William Jenkins Sr., 73, of Washington, Va., passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
He was born on February 2, 1953, in Front Royal and was a son of the late Nelson Franklin Jenkins Sr. and Eva Marie Pullen Menefee.
Robert was a member of Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Dwyer Jenkins. They were married on July 29, 1972.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by five sons, Robert Jenkins Jr. and wife Tammy of Washington, VA, Kirk Jenkins and wife Patty of Sperryville, VA, James Jenkins and wife Crystal of Sperryville, VA, Thomas Jenkins and wife Brooke of Luray, VA, and Ted Jenkins and wife Jessica of Washington, VA; a daughter, Christal Lind and husband Lance of Amissville; two brothers, Nelson Jenkins Jr. and wife Janet of Washington, VA, and Branson Jenkins and wife Charlotte of Culpeper; a sister, Barbara Payne and husband Albert of Washington, VA; a sister-in-law, Cathy Pullen of Luray; 20 grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jake, Evan, Dale, Roy, Richard, Emma, Hunter, Gardner, Hannah, Harper, Hudson, Hazel, Madilyn, Tyler, Cole, Tucker, Weston, Wyatt and Abigail; and five great-grandchildren, Gracelyn, Kirk Dale, Kolt, June and Harlow.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Emily Elizabeth Jenkins; and two brothers, Ricky Pullen and Donald Jenkins.
Pallbearers will be Andy Dwyer, Jim Dwyer, Tony Atkins, Gary Jenkins, Tony Wayland and Andy Baldwin. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Shaw and Roy Jenkins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Bruce Beeler and Pastor Danny Herring, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in the Sperryville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department.
