Ronald Irvin Parlett

Age 70, Luray, Va.

Ronald “Ronnie” Irvin Parlett, age 70, of Luray, VA passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on March 25, 2020.

He was born on April 26, 1949 in Luray, VA.

Ronnie was a retired contractor, having touched many lives throughout the community with his talent of construction and craftsmanship.

He was a member of Trinity Church of the Brethren and has attended Antioch Independent Bible Church. 

On October 23, 1965, he married the love of his life, Sharon Virginia Bailey, who survives him.

He is also survived by son- Michael Wesley Parlett, Sr. of Luray, VA, son-Phillip Duane Parlett and wife Marcy of Luray, VA, son- Joshua Sloan Parlett and wife Rachel of Luray, VA, brother- Jimmy Dale Richards of Luray, VA, brother- Richard Lee Parlett of Stanley, VA, sister- Alice Faye Foster of Luray, VA, brother- Alvin Eugene Parlett of Luray, VA, grandson- Jared Michael Parlett of Luray, VA, grandson- Will Nathaniel Parlett of Luray, VA, grandaughter- Lydia Mae Parlett of Luray, VA, grandaughter- Jillian Elizabeth Parlett of Luray, VA, grandson- Hayden Stone Parlett of Luray, VA, grandaughter- Ella Rose Parlett of Luray, VA, grandson-Nevin Hayes Parlett of Luray, VA, and grandaughter- Jaidyn Anita Parlett of Luray, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Irvin Parlett and Frances Elizabeth Breeden Parlett, son- Ronald Irvin Parlett, Jr., grandson- Michael Wesley Parlett, Jr., brothers- Roscoe Richards, Jullian Richards and Thomas Wesley Parlett, sisters- Judy Ann Parlett and Jeane McAlister.

Ronnie had an unending love for his family and his legacy will live on for many generations through his children and grandchildren.

Ronnie will be taken to Antioch Independent Bible Church on Friday March 27 for friends and family can view and sign the register from 10 am – 8 pm.

For the safety of the family and others a Private Funeral Service will be at a later date.
