School superintendent appointed by school board

April 1, 1965 — The Page County School Board has announced the appointment of Stafford Martin Haga as superintendent of schools.

He succeeds J.K. Samples, who has been appointed superintendent of schools in Hanover County effective July 1.

Mr. Haga will take over his duties here at the same time.

The new Page superintendent is 53 years old and currently is superintendent of the Southampton County Schools, a position which he has held since 1963.

He and his wife reside at Boykins.
