July 23, 1987 — Greg Snow of Shenandoah bagged a rattler Friday afternoon in the Fleeburg area west of Shenandoah.
According to Snow he killed the diamondback rattlesnake with a 12-gauge shotgun.
The snake measured over three feet long from head to tail.
Snow said it had 11 rattles indicating an old age.
