Shifflett to perform Americana roots music at Shenandoah Museum Jan. 27

Austin Shifflett

SHENANDOAH — The Town of Shenandoah Museum and Welcome Center will host live music by Austin Shifflett at the Museum from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27.

Based in the Shenandoah Valley, Austin plays a lively mix of Americana roots music on guitar and harmonica.  He has a special penchant for the eclectic musical styles that emerged from the southern musicians and songsters of the 1920s and 1930s.

His aim is to bring greater awareness and appreciation of the original artists, while offering fresh interpretations of this music to his audience. Austin likes to talk to audience members about the history of the music he plays around the Shenandoah Valley at various venues.

The Town of Shenandoah Museum and Welcome Center is located at 507 First Street, Shenandoah, VA 22849. For more information about the Town of Shenandoah, visit https://www.townofshenandoah.com/
