LURAY, Sept. 26 — On September 24, 2026, while on another call for service in the area of Dovel Hollow Road, a Page County Sheriff’s Deputy was flagged down and told that there was an individual on a school bus yelling profanities and scaring the kids.
The deputy immediately responded to the area of the 700 block of Dovel Hollow where he located the bus in question. He was advised that the individual that was on the bus had already left the area.
Shortly thereafter, a video of the incident was uploaded to social media. Upon reviewing the video, and interviewing the witnesses involved, warrants were obtained on the suspect.
The suspect was identified as DANIEL WADE YOUNG, 39, of Stanley, Virginia. The responding deputy presented probable cause to the magistrate, who issued warrants for the following;
§ 18.2-119 – Trespassing on school property
§ 18.2-415 – Disorderly conduct
The investigation is still ongoing, and additional charges may be pending. Young turned himself in to the Page County Jail and was arrested on Friday, Sept. 25. He was released by the magistrate on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
