Stanley man indicted for abduction, assault and malicious wounding

December grand jury issues 26 indictments against 13 individuals, plus seven additional sealed indictments

LURAY, Dec. 3 — Members of a grand jury in Page County Circuit Court issued a true bill on a total of 26 indictments handed down Wednesday, Dec. 3 on charges placed among 13 individuals, plus an additional seven sealed indictments.

Those named individuals indicted by the Dec. 3 grand jury include:

Christian Elijah Rivera, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a total of five Class 5 felonies for three counts of malicious wounding, one count of not reporting an accident involving more than $1,000 in damage, and one count of abduction by force. He was also indicted on a Class 6 felony for the destruction of property with intent (valued at more than or equal to $1,000) and a Class 1 misdemeanor for assault and battery of a family member. All but two of the incidents occurred on Sept. 15, 2025, according to court records, while the assault and abduction charges occurred on Sept. 13, 2025. The arrest date listed for all charges was Sept. 15, 2025. Rivera is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16 to appoint counsel.

Matthew Shane Vaughan, of Luray, Va., received four direct indictments on four Class 5 felonies all for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. All offenses occurred on May 12, 2025, according to court records, with no arrest date listed. Vaughan is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026 for a hearing.

James Patrick Ryan, of Stanley, Va. was indicted on an unclassified felony for obtaining an unauthorized credit card (no larceny), and two Class 1 misdemeanors for credit card fraud to a merchant (less than $200) and pettit larceny (less than $200, not from person). The two credit card charges occurred on Aug. 30, 2025, according to court records, while the larceny charge occurred on Sept. 9, 2025. The only arrest date listed is for the felony charge on Sept. 4, 2025. Ryan is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16 for a bond hearing.

Stacy Gale Torres, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for wounding by strangulation in which an injury results and a Class 1 misdemeanor for assault and battery. Both offenses and an arrest occurred on Sept. 11, 2025, according to court records. Torres is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 for a hearing.

Nicole Danielle Eppard, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving more than $1,000 in damage. The offense and an arrest occurred on July 23, 2024, according to court records. Eppard is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026 for a status hearing.

Kimberly Diane Judd, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on two Class 5 felonies for two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offenses occurred on July 20, 2025 and Aug. 7, 2025, according to court records, while the arrest date listed for both is Aug. 7, 2025. Judd is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026 for a hearing.

• Edward Louis Kirby III, of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for child abuse (disregard for life). The offense occurred on Oct. 20, 2025, according to court records, while an arrest occurred on on Oct. 22, 2025. Kirby is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 for a hearing.

• David Ludwell Berry III, of New Market, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Feb. 9, 2025, according to court documents, with an arrest on April 6, 2025. Berry is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026 for a hearing.

• Steven Todd Borror, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on July 31, 2025, according to court records. Borror is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025 for a hearing.

• Scott Franklin Buracker, of Stanley, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Sept. 9, 2025, according to court records. Buracker is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026 for a hearing.

• Dana Lynn Coleman , of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Aug. 29, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Aug. 30, 2025. Coleman is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025 for a hearing.

• Robert Lysander Green Jr., of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Aug. 29, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on Aug. 30, 2025. Green is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025 for a hearing.

• Nikolas Wesley Smith, of Arlington, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Jan. 21, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest on July 31, 2025. Smith is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026 for a hearing.

• There were SEVEN SEALED INDICTMENTS among those heard by a grand jury on Dec. 3 in Page County Circuit Court. This typically means that the information gained or the individual(s) charged could influence an ongoing investigation.

Grand jury hearings are held the first Wednesday of each month in Page County Circuit Court.
