The Town of Stanley’s Parks and Recreation Department will host its first movie night this Friday, July 10 at the Hawksbill Pool.
Reed’s Tire Center in Stanley is sponsoring the viewing of “Lilo and Stitch” at dusk after swimming.
On Movie Nights, the Hawksbill Pool reopens at 6:30 p.m. and allows swimming until 8:30 p.m. at a cost of $5 per person.
At 8:30 p.m., admission is free and the movie starts soon after. Those viewing “Lilo and Stitch” may do so from the pool deck (bring your own chairs or blankets) or from the pool — but splashing or swimming will not be allowed.
The summer meals program coordinated through Page County Public Schools will be distributing snacks free of charge beginning at 8 p.m. to anyone under the age of 18.
The Hawksbill Pool will be offering concessions for sale, including hot dogs, ice cream, candy and other items. However, those items may not be taken into the pool area.
