Stolen goods found

October 24, 1889One day last week Mr. E.D. Varner, who lives near Stony Man, was engaged in removing a stack of hay from a field on his farm where he found under the stack a large lot of store goods.

He at once turned the goods over to special policeman D.W. Blosser who upon investigation soon had them identified as part of those taken from Mr. Martin Strickler’s store several weeks ago.

There is said to be a clue already discovered as to how they came there, but pending the trial of the party suspected we forbear to mention the particulars.
