Tech Center plan

November 27, 1991At a public hearing on Page County’s new vocational-technical education center last Tuesday at Stanley Elementary school, one thing was clear:

The program will start small and grow with time.

Eight members of the vocational committee fielded questions from an audience of about 35 people — many of them students during the public hearing.

Committee chairman Jeff Vaughan said that the center would probably offer three or four programs as early as the 1992-93 school year.

“Our primary goal right now is to look at objectives for starting next year,” he said. “Once we get that behind us, we’ll look at the second year, the third, the fourth and on down the line. It’s a five-year program.”
