Thrown from a horse

Luray museum

December 3, 1891Elder Davenport had the misfortune a few days ago, while in Rappahannock filling one of his appointments, to be thrown from his horse and have his ankle sprained.

On his return Dr. Lee informs us that he called and applied his wonderful rheumatic remedy and that the parson is now up and engaged in a great revival work in his church.

The Dr. says he had a patient from Roanoke this week, who on his arrival here was hobbling around on crutches, and that now he is able to lead the Virginia reel.
