Tony Ray McClenney, 60, of Shenandoah, passed away on Monday March 13, 2023 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center.
Mr. McClenney was born on January 6, 1963 in Norfolk, Va. and was a son of the late Willis Ray McClenney and Louise Eleanor (Eppard) Parlette. He graduated from Spotswood High School where he excelled in soccer. Tony then served in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
Mr. McClenney worked for over 30 years in construction. He also worked with Strength in Peers and was very active within the recovery community. Tony enjoyed camping and was an AVID Washington Redskins fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn Ann McClenney on February 16, 2021.
Mr. McClenney is survived by his children, Capt. Dustin McClenney, U.S. Army, Active Duty, of Shenandoah, Va.; a daughter, April See of Harrisonburg; a brother, Chris Parlette of Bridgewater; a sister, Sharon McClenney of Rockingham; and a grandson, Logan McClenney.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. McClenney was preceded in death by a brother, Marc Parlette.
At his request there will be no services, and the body will be cremated.
