The Page County Sheriff’s Office posted news of a train derailment on Monday afternoon about one-half mile north of the Rileyville Road crossing north of Luray.
When the post was made around 3 p.m., the sheriff’s office reported that “emergency crews are on the scene of a train derailment… At this time, there is no interruption to vehicle traffic or hazardous materials threat.”
Norfolk and Southern sent a recovery crew, according to the sheriff’s office.
No injuries were reported.
