March 11, 1965 — Larry Dovel, of Luray, left recently to join the Cincinnati Reds at their spring baseball training camp in Tampa,Fla.
Larry expects to either remain with the Cincinnati team or be sent to San Diego of the Pacific Coast League, the club he pitched for during the 1964 season.
Larry was signed by Cincinnati back in 1959, and since then has played for a number of teams in their farm system. He graduated from Luray High School in June 1959.
