Two injured in separate falls

March 3, 1966 — Two prominent Luray businessmen were seriously injured this week when they suffered severe falls.

James C. “Click” Davis, president of Luray Fabric Care Center, is hospitalized at the University Hospital in Charlottesville and Leo H. Hoak, a member of the Page Grocery Company, is in the Winchester Hospital.

Hoak suffered a fractured vertebra when a heavy carton fell from a truck Friday of last week knocking him to the ground.

Davis suffered fractures of several vertebra, a broken rib and an injury to the lining of the stomach Monday evening of this week when he fell from the bed of a truck.

Both men are progressing satisfactorily and are expected to return to Luray this week.
