Weekly YouTube show dives into various issues, sites and events in the Page Valley
By Randy Arrington
LURAY, Oct. 23 — This week we visit with a competitive driver from Shenandoah who will complete his rookie season on a dirt track in Hagerstown, Maryland this weekend. Zayden Judd of Judd Brothers Racing can turn a lap at the 1/20 mile oval in just 8.5 seconds… and he’s only 7 years old. He competes in the NASCAR Youth Series, and we’ll learn what it takes to finish among the top drivers in places like Pocono.
Two quick points of clarification — first, the host states that the interview takes place at the Luray home of the Judd family… while the interview did take place at a Luray home where the car is stored, the Judd family resides in Shenandoah. Second, Zayden comments at one point during the interview that his mom lives near Pocono; however, he meant that she was from there and grew up there.
We also take a look at the “week that was” in the Page Valley with a review of news headlines and sports, while also taking a look at “the weekend ahead” with upcoming events in the Page Valley.
(Page Valley Livin’ ~ Episode 42 was recorded on Monday, Oct. 21 and first aired Wednesday, Oct. 23).
Coming up on Page Valley Livin’… we’ll visit with a local teenager that showed well at the Virginia State Fair; and we’re planning to ask a local sculptor what it was like to be molded into a World War I memorial in D.C.
The aim and purpose of these videos is to provide more information about more things that make up the wonderful place we call the Page Valley of Virginia. Serious issues will be handled seriously, while lighter issues may offer more opportunity to have some fun. There is no theme or agenda other than promoting the Page Valley, and trying to better inform the people who both live here and those who love to visit.

Just to re-emphasize our CORRECTIONS … while the interview was filmed at a Luray home where the car is stored, the Judd family resides in Shenandoah. (The host states that the interview is at the Luray home of the Judds, which is incorrect.) Also, Zayden refers to his mom as living near Pocono — she actually is from the area and grew up there, but resides with her family in Shenandoah. PVN regrets any confusion on the part of the viewer.
