Age 78, Shenandoah, Va.
Vivette Virginia “Jenny” Grimsley Shifflett, 78, of Shenandoah, Va. passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Jenny was born March 31, 1948 in Page County, to the late Sibert Earl and Grace Elizabeth Comer Grimsley.
Jenny grew up in Steam Hollow and attended Page County High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church. She volunteered at Page One for 30 years and helped out at the Shenandoah Florists for many years. She loved her flower garden and cared for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always was there for them. She was a devoted wife and an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
On September 16, 1962 she married Alfred Clyde Shifflett, who preceded her in death on January 1, 2015.
Jenny is survived by daughters, Odessa Cash and husband, Keith, Robin Shenk and husband, Tim, Rhonda Good and husband, Dwight; grandchildren, Heather Derrow and husband, Mike, Katie Roberts and husband, Hunter, Grace Good; great-grandchildren, Camden, Caden, Carter Derrow, and Jack Roberts; also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Monday August 3, 2026 at Warren Comer Family Cemetery near Shenandoah with Larry Sullivan officiating. The family will be receiving family and friends at Jenny’s home following the service.
The casket will remain closed.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
