Age 78, Luray, Va.
Walter Henry “Sonny” Sigrist, 78, of Luray, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023.
He was born on April 8, 1944, and was the son of the late Henry G. Sigrist and Frances Spears Sigrist.
On May 13, 1962, he married Toni Burdette Sigrist, who survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Jomarie Sigrist and Kelli Bailey (Lovell Bailey) of Luray; two grandchildren, Jason Ellis (Jennifer Ellis) and Taylor Royston (David Royston); two step grandchildren, Antoine Bailey and Simea Bailey; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Ellis and Madison Ellis; and one step great-grandchild, Kingston Bailey, all of Luray. Also surviving are two brothers, Jerry Sigrist and Teddy Sigrist; four sisters, Shirley Humphrey (Charles Humphrey), Louise Dievers, Jeryl Sigrist and Jenny Fox (Bobby Fox); along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
