Wells rise after Alaskan earthquake

March 25, 1965 — The well at the Shenandoah National Park headquarters has taken a new lease on life since the earthquake in Alaska.

The level of the water rose about 18 inches after the big earthquake.

According to the state geologist this phenomena was observed in many parts of Virginia.

The big earthquake occurred one year ago.
