Age 75, Shenandoah, Va.
William “Bill” Lee Kee, 75, of Shenandoah, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at his home. He was born January 25, 1951 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Ralph Hensel Kee, Sr. and Wilda Fern “Donovan” Kee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph H. Kee, Jr.
Bill was a member of Bible Holiness Church for many years. He was a mechanic for over 50 years and a locksmith for over 40 years enjoying his work until his health declined. Bill was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1061 in Harrisonburg. Even though Bill’s illness and death was the result of circumstances while serving in the U.S. Army, he was still a proud Vietnam War Veteran who never regretted enlisting in the Army to serve his country.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn “Anita” Dovel Kee; sons, Philip Kee and Brandy, Jeremy Kee; brothers, Doug Kee and wife, Sandy, Charles Kee and wife, Tamara; sister, Paula McDonald; grandchildren, Tabitha Kite, Aaron Kee, Anthony Kee, Michael Kee, Halie Kee; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.
A funeral service with full military rites will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Bible Holiness Church in Elkton with Pastor Brent Gabbard and Pastor Brent Markee officiating. Burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2026 at the church.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, he has requested no flowers. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at Bible Holiness Church in Elkton for donations to be sent to Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1061 in Harrisonburg.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
