Williams and Plum lead Panthers to 3-1 start

SHENANDOAH — In their season and home openers against Randolph-Macon Academy and Tuner Ashby, senior guard Jacob Williams and senior forward Hayden Plum lead the Page County Panthers to a perfect 2-0 start to the 2022-23 season.

In the two games, Williams put up 28 points, while Plum had 26 — the only two Panthers to score in double figures in both games. Williams posted 12 points against RMA and 16 against T.A. Plum hit for 12 and 13 points, respectively.

Page County defeated RMA, 64-40, on Dec. 1, and Turner Ashby, 67-60, on Dec. 5.

Since then, the Panthers have picked up another win, 46-33, over RMA on the road in Front Royal on Dec. 9; followed by their first loss of the season in their Bull Run District opener, 47-32, at against Strasburg on Dec. 13.

Next up, Page County (3-1) travels to Clarke County (2-2) Friday night for another Bull Run matchup.
