Sophomore Lance Williams is leading the Page County High School baseball team at the plate and on the mound in this shortened 2021 spring season.

On Friday against rival Luray, Williams went 3-for-4 at the plate, with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored in a 12-0 slaughter-rule victory in five innings.

Williams has pitched in two of the Panthers’ four games thus far, recording 29 strikeouts in 13 innings, including a full-game, one-hit shutout of East Rockingham.

The Panthers (3-1) have two home games this week, as they host Madison on Wednesday and Strasburg on Friday. Both games start at 6 p.m.

Currently, Page, Madison and East Rockingham all sit at 3-1 atop the Bull Run District.
