American Legion to host annual Veterans Day Appreciation Dinner on Sunday

LURAY — The American Legion Post #22 will be conducting its annual Veterans Day Appreciation Dinner at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9.

All veterans and their families are invited to participate. The veterans appreciation dinner is free to all with the request that you provide one or more non-perishable food items to be delivered to the Martinsburg VA Medical Center Food Pantry. A receptacle for collection will be available in the vestibule.

Veterans Day is the perfect time to become a Legionnaire. Membership applications will be available to veterans of U.S. Military Service who were Honorably Discharged and possess a DD-214. Speak with any Post member to have questions answered and pick up a membership application.

Post #22’s next regular meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24.

American Legion Post #22 is located at 106 Zerkel Street in Luray, adjacent to Inn Lawn Park and the Page Public Library.
