LURAY — The American Legion Post #22 of Luray will conduct a “Blessing of the Badges” on Saturday, May 22, beginning at 11 a.m. The event will be held at the Inn Lawn Park, across from the Post #22 building on Zerkel Street. The actual “Blessing of the Badges” will be conducted by Rev. Gary Nicholson of the Page Valley Baptist Church,
Luray.
All First Responder organizations from the three towns of Page County, along with Page County and local government officials have been invited to attend and participate in this important annual ceremony. The Mayors of Shenandoah, Stanley, and Luray have been invited to speak. Other local and county officials may be on hand to observe the proceedings.
Citizens of Page County are invited to come and witness this special program aimed at seeking God’s blessings for all of the valiant men and women who bravely serve our communities and county.
If you wish to attend, you should wear comfortable footwear, and you may provide your own folding chair, if desired.
