Beginner beekeeper course offered in July

Want to become a beekeeper or refresh some of your skills?

The Page Valley Beekeepers will be sponsoring an eight-week course and 16 hours of instruction, on the Introduction to Beekeeping, to be held starting Tuesday, July 11 through August 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren, 119 High Street in Luray. 

The instructor will be teaching the current curriculum that is approved by Virginia State Beekeepers Association. Different topics will be covered each class so it is recommended that you attend each week.

Course cost will be $140, which includes the cost of books and materials.

Class size is limited to 20 persons.
