Age 85, Luray, Va.

Betty Maxine (Fox) Stuehmeyer 85 of Luray, VA died Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Skyview Springs Nursing & Rehab in Luray, VA. 

She was born on April 24, 1934, in Luray, VA to the late Homer Franklin and Vera Virginia (Griffith) Fox. 

Betty worked many years as a waitress in Luray at the Luray Intown Motel and was a life-long member of Morning Star Lutheran Church in Luray.

She married Herman Marion Stuehmeyer on July 24, 1954. He died May 15, 2007. 

She is survived by a son, Herman Marion Stuehmeyer, III; four daughters, V. Melinda (Stuehmeyer) Atwood, Teresa Kibler, Jennifer Louderback and  Heather D. Stuehmeyer all of of Luray, Va.; one brother, Julian W. Fox of Luray, Va.; 11 grandchildren  and nine great grandchildren 

She was also  preceded in death by brother, Talbert L. Fox;  sister, Frances V. Keeney; sister, Groveen C. Pierce; brother, Winfred Leon Fox; sister, Reva I. Weld; brother, Bruce Fox; brother, Aubrey Franklin Fox; brother, Eldon Lewis Fox; and brother, George Ray Fox.

The family will receive friends at Bradley Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 18, 2020  from  6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at Morning Star Lutheran Church on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 11 a.m.
