Bids on Alma bridge

April 13, 1911 — The Board of Supervisors met last week to receive the bids on the Alma bridge.

There were eight bids received, running from $11,030 to $15,940. All were referred to the State Highway Commission, and will be acted on at once.

The Board meets again April 12 to close the contract.

It is possible that the work, including fills on either side of the bridge, may run the cost several hundred dollars higher.

The enterprising gentlemen who lead the movement for this improvement deserve the thanks of their neighbors and the public generally for the successful conclusion of this matter.
