Cletus Edward “Pete” Breeden, 76, of Stanley, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022.
He was born on April 21, 1945, in Page County and was a son of Wesley Eli Breeden and the late Annie Della Lam Breeden.
On June 19, 1965, “Pete” married Maxine Campbell Breeden, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his father and his wife are two daughters, Sandra Moyer and husband Allen, and Tammy Lloyd and husband Alton, all of Stanley; a brother, Wesley A. Breeden of Luray; his grandchildren, Brandy Lloyd and fiancée Miranda of Staunton, Amanda Good and husband Lukas of Luray, and Dustin Lloyd and wife Beth, Megan Moyer and Kellie Lloyd, all of Stanley; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Adaline Good of Luray.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank W., Matthew L., Ausby M. and William Breeden; and three sisters, Gernie M. Gochenour, Rosetta C. Meadows and Elizabeth Ann Weakley.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the Riverview Independent Gospel Church in Stanley by Pastor Jeff Lucas.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7, at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
