• FEBRUARY 23, 1911 — The Town Council has elected Mr. Richard Berry Mayor of Luray to succeed the late Mayor Smoot. The appointment holds till the 1st of September, but at the election to be held in June the new appointee will doubtless be elected for a full term. Mr. Berry is the law partner of Col. Leedy.
