Age 80, Luray, Va.
Genevieve McCoy Presgraves, 80, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock.
She was born on March 28, 1943, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Hoyt McCoy and Lela Pearl Cubbage McCoy.
Genevieve had formerly worked at the Alma Poultry plant in Stanley.
On March 9, 1972, she married Meredith Leon Presgraves Sr., who died on April 11, 1982.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennie Good and husband Bryan of Luray, and Patricia Dellinger and companion Joe Mitchell of Verona; a sister, Donna Cubbage of Stanley; and three grandchildren, Joshua Good and wife Deborah, Logan Dellinger and Madison Good.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Meredith Leon Presgraves Jr.; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Plunk; three sisters, Frances Petralia, Catherine Walters and Daphine McCoy; and two brothers, Steven McCoy and Johnny McCoy.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 14, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Randall Black. Burial will be in the McCoy Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, at the funeral home.
