LURAY, Aug. 10 — A Page County grand jury handed down 87 indictments during the Aug. 5 session in Page County Circuit Court. This was only the second grand jury session held in the local circuit court since March 4 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Of the 87 indictments issued last week in Page County, 34 were listed as “SEALED” with no names or charges listed on the docket. The Page County Sheriff’s Office was listed as the investigating agency placing those charges. Until a circuit court judge unseals the files, the details of the case, including who has been charged — and for what, will remain hidden from public view.
Among the remaining 53 indictments issued on Aug. 5 in Luray, three were listed as “Special to Rockingham,” with no name or charges listed. The others indictments were spread out among 22 individuals.
The August indictments in Page County with listed names and charges include:
• Ian Zimmerman was indicted for second degree murder and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The Luray Police Department filed the charges. His attorney is listed as “C. Routhier.”
• James Abbatiello was indicted on eight counts of obtaining money by false pretense. The charges were placed by the Page County Sheriff’s Office. His attorney is listed as “T. Senn.”
• Kenneth W. Armstrong Jr. was indicted on five charges of possession of child pornography. The Luray Police Department filed the charges. His attorney is listed as “C. Routhier.”
• Randolph Baize was indicted on a single count of malicious wounding. The arresting agency and attorney were not listed.
• Allen T. Barrick was indicted for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug (methamphetamine), possession of a Schedule III drug (not listed) and driving on a suspended license. The charges were placed by the Page County Sheriff’s Office. His counsel is listed as “Big Valley.”
• Jasma Bowman was indicted on two drug charges, including possession of a Schedule I/II drug (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Page County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges. The attorney is listed as “H. Jackson.”
• Christopher Burgamy was indicted for assault and battery (third offense). The charge was placed by the Luray Police Department. His attorney is listed as “C. Routhier.”
• Curtis Comer Jr. was indicted on two counts for failing to register as a sex offender. The Virginia State Police filed the charges. No attorney was listed.
• Ginger Cook was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (methamphetamine) and for driving after being declared a habitual offender. The charges were placed by the Stanley Police Department. “Big Valley Law” will represent her.
• Hannah Freeze was indicted for assault and battery (third offense) and obstruction of justice. The Page County Sheriff’s Office filed the charges. Her attorney is listed as “M. Helm.”
• Glendon Housden was indicted for manufacturing and possessing a controlled substance (not listed). The charges were placed by the Luray Police Department. His counsel was listed as Public Defender.
• Jamie Hull was indicted on two counts of larceny (third offense), two counts of concealing stolen goods, and one count of manufacturing/possessing a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Both the Luray Police Department and the Page County Sheriff’s Office filed charges in the case. The attorney is listed as “Butler.”
• Brian Giles was indicted for distribution. No arresting agency is listed. His attorney is Roger Smith.
• Jason Kennerly was indicted for possessing a firearm after being convicted of a felony. The Page County Sheriff’s Office placed the charge. No attorney was listed.
• Bryant McCoy was indicted for possession of 10g to 100g of a Schedule I/II drug (not listed) and a second count for possession of Schedule I/II drug (not listed). No arresting agency or attorney was listed.
• Meredith Miller was indicted for larceny (third offense). The charge was placed by the Page County Sheriff’s Office. Her attorney is listed as “C. Routhier.”
• George Shaver was indicted on two drug charges, possession with intent to manufacture (drug not listed) and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges were placed by the Page County Sheriff’s Office. Attorney not listed.
• Dakota Shifflett was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (not listed). The Page County Sheriff’s Office placed the charge. Her attorney is liosted as “L. Nagy.”
• Laura J. Sours was indicted for possession of a Schedule I/II drug (not listed). The Luray Police Department placed the charge. Her attorney is listed as “Elledge.”
• Dustin Tharpe was indicted on two counts for grand larceny and mischief. No arresting agency or attorney was listed.
• Shannon Freeze was indicted on two counts for credit card fraud and larceny of a credit card. The charges were placed by the Stanley Police Department. Her attorney is listed as “Butler.”
• Brandon McCarty was indicted on three counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug (not listed). The charges were placed by the Shenandoah Police Department. His attorney is listed as “Elledge.”
Monthly grand jury hearings are held the first Wednesday of each month in Page County Circuit Court.
