December 19, 1986 — John Lee Haney of Shenandoah, has been chosen as an Outstanding Young Man of America for his achievements and acts of heroism. Some time ago, he saved the life of a Stanley man and more recently he repeated that performance at the Adolph Coors Plant site near Elkton. Christi Bosley, a Luray dispatcher, submitted his name for the award. Haney, 32, is a son of Harry and Marjorie Haney of Shenandoah.
