Rudolph Kendall McAlister II, 63, of Shenandoah, entered eternity on Monday, April 14, 2025.
He was born on September 7, 1961, in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Rudolph “Rudy” McAlister and Barbara Jean Richards Arbaugh.
Kendall was a lifelong machinist. Kendall had a passion for cars. He attended the Upper Room Church, where he gave his life to the Lord. His laugh will always be remembered and his smile was always contagious.
On September 7, 1979, he married his sweetheart, Sandy Burns McAlister, who survives. Sandy was the love of his life.
In addition to his wife, Kendall is survived by his twin son, Kendall Lee McAlister and fiancée Tara Prince. Kendall also has his baby girl, Hollie Renee McAlister and companion Gerard Shelton. He also has a sister, Lisa McAlister-Aydin. Kendall’s pride and joy was his grandson, Brayden Elliott McAlister.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Kirk McAlister.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at the Upper Room Church in Elkton.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18, at the church by Pastor Barbara Hensley, Pastor Josh Parlett and Pastor Donnie Burns.
Burial will be at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Shenandoah.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray for assistance with funeral costs.
In remembrance of “Pappy,” all car enthusiasts please feel free to drive your “hot rods” in honor of Pappy.
