Age 93, Stanley, Va.
Lorraine Catherine Kitts, 93, of Stanley, died on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at Page Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Oct. 14, 1927, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Russell L. “Pete” Painter and Ervilla C. Short Painter.
Mrs. Kitts was a member of the Calvary Independent Brethren Church in Stanley.
On June 25, 1955, she married Roy Francis Kitts, who died on June 21, 1998.
She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne “Bonnie” Hilliard of Stanley, and Mary Catherine Mick of Linville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Roadcap; two sisters, Ethel “Suzie” Painter and Edna B. Rosenfield; and two brothers, William “Bud” and Russell “Jack” Painter.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Beam’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray by the Rev. Charles Turner.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
