August 19, 1965 — Denver F. Aleshire Jr., of Cocoa Beach, Fla., formerly of Luray, is employed by General Electric and directly on duty at Cape Kennedy.
Among his duties this week will be the assistance in the control room as the various “ground engineers” talk with the two astronauts, Cooper and Conrad, when they “blast” off to orbit the earth for eight days.
The Gemini 5 flight is being readied at the Cape.
