Age 83, Luray, Va.
Mary Louise Burner Turner, 83, of Luray, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at home.
She was born on December 3, 1942, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Roy “Buck” Capataine Burner and Helen Arlene Litten Burner.
Her husband, Buford “Bill” Turner, died on March 18, 1996.
An accomplished artist, Mary ran Turner’s Ceramics for decades and participated at the Heritage Festival, providing decor for many in the community. She possessed a true servant’s heart and was a “go-getter” who was still cleaning and helping others into her aging years.
A lifelong animal lover, she truly enjoyed taking care of animals all throughout her life. An avid reader who remained a student, she peacefully fell asleep in the Lord while reading.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Turner of Luray; three sons, Russell Wayne Turner, Herbert Lee Osborne Jr. and Roy Bucky Osborne, all of Luray; a sister, Dorothy McPhilamy of Cocoa Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Rebecca L. Hoffman of Indiana, Daniel R. Osborne of Luray, and Katie S. Turner of Stanley; five great-grandchildren; and her companion, Robert Brown.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Barkman.
She will be dearly loved and missed by many.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
