• 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. — BBQ chicken sale, Luray Ruritan Club, chicken halves $6, chicken cooked early that day at fairgrounds and then sold at two locations on Main Street in Luray — Dollar General parking lot (near Hardees) and across Main Street from the West Luray Recreation Center (a.k.a. – “The Rec”); all profits go directly toward Luray Ruritan projects throughout the year to better the community. Luray Ruritans Club meets monthly on the first Thursday at the Luray United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Meetings include meals at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to join the Club to learn more about their work.

Formed from a 30-year partnership between the Chamber and Anthem, WiseChoice Healthcare Alliance is designed to help drive healthcare engagement and literacy that can lead to improved long-term health and lower healthcare costs. It’s an important step in expanding access to better health coverage for small businesses, which account for over 90% of employers in the state.
