This is Big John!

Big John is an approximately 10-year-old, neutered male. He has had all of his vaccinations and been tested. Big John found himself at the shelter after he was discovered by a concerned citizen. He was in rough shape with an opened abscess on his cheek.

After a brief check-in with the doc, John was given some antibiotics and the all clear. As he’s been recovering here, he’s begun to feel more like himself. We believe he had been an outdoor stray for most of his life.

Big John was a little shy at first, but has been a very docile cat. Recently, he has opened up more to the staff here and when offered affection he pushes his head up into your hand, purring as loud as can be!

He’s incredibly sweet and affectionate and is sure to get your attention when he breaks out his cutest meows. He’s happy to share his living space, enjoys a good head pat, and was even cared for by an elderly lady.

If you’d like to be Big John’s forever home ,

please send the shelter an email inquiry or call the Page County Animal Shelter at (540) 778-2101. Please keep an eye out for our email reply. Sometimes they find their way to the spam/junk folder.
