Page Valley News highlights adoptable pets

from the Page County Animal Shelter to showcase their personality.

This is Katie!

Katie is a tuxedo cat extraordinaire! She is an approximately 1-2 year old female. She has been spayed, tested, and vaccinated.

Katie’s background is unknown, although, we believe she belonged to someone at some point in time. What we do know is that she was brought to the shelter on bite quarantine after she was harshly shooed away from an old man’s property.

Despite her supposed bite report, we have not seen any kind of aggression from Katie. She is actually quite the opposite. “Katydid” is a cat overflowing with sweetness and affection. She simply thrives on social interactions. She may be nicknamed after a katydid, but she’s more of a social butterfly. Or maybe we could call her a social katydid?

True to her nickname, she can be quite chatty. She likes to play and will often roll around on her back with her little legs straight up in the air, begging for attention.

If you’d like to get to know this “katydid”,

please send the shelter an email inquiry or call the Page County Animal Shelter at (540) 778-2101. Please keep an eye out for our email reply. Sometimes they find their way to the spam/junk folder.
