Meet Sam

Sam

~ Submitted by the Page County Animal Shelter

Page Valley News highlights adoptable pets

from the Page County Animal Shelter to showcase their personality.

This is Sam!

Sam was picked up by animal control as a stray and was unfortunately never reclaimed, so now Sam is looking for his forever home. He was already neutered when he came into the shelter, so he is good to go on that.

Sam is a very laid back dog and is fully house trained. He can be a little standoffish with new faces, but he will quickly warm up to you if you go slow with him and take your time. We have not officially dog tested Sam with our other dogs, however, we have noticed he is very reactive to the other dogs when he goes by the kennels, so we don’t recommend other dogs in the household with him at this time.

Sam doesn’t care for toys or anything that squeaks for that matter, but he loves to play with you outside and have the zoomies when he gets really excited. He loves to sit in your lap if he notices you are sitting down.

Sam is a very gentle dog and will not pull you on a slip lead. He is good with going in and out of his kennel. Overall, Sam is a good dog once he opens up to you.

If you’d like to meet and visit with Sam,

please send the shelter an email inquiry or call the Page County Animal Shelter at (540) 778-2101. Please keep an eye out for our email reply. Sometimes they find their way to the spam/junk folder.
