~ Press release issued by Senior’s First – The Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging
Temperatures are rising, and for some, there is little relief from the heat. Seniors First’s Senior Cool Care Program is available to help older adults cool their home this summer.
The Senior Cool Care Program provides single-room air conditioners and fans to income-eligible seniors. It is funded by Dominion Energy and administered through the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). Seniors First has delivered 20 single-room air conditioners this summer to residents in the counties of Page, Frederick, Warren, and the City of Winchester.
Supplies are limited.
