Age 62, Luray, Va.
Suddenly on December 10, 2022, Sharon Liott of Luray went to be with the Lord.
Born November 23, 1960, Sharon was the daughter of the former Rocco and Mary Liott. Sharon was born in Florida, but grew up in Pottstown, PA. She is survived by her brother Rocco Liott Jr. and sister Kathy Liott and numerous nieces and nephews.
Upon moving to northern Virginia, she had a career as a federal government worker at different departments including the U.S. Geological Survey and the National Park Service. She retired from the National Park Service to take care of her mother in her last years in Florida. She lived in Poinciana Fla., before moving to Luray, where she resided for the past seven years.
She was a devoted member of Rileyville Baptist Church, where she did numerous ministry outreaches. Recently, with the Lord’s guidance, she started Tabitha’s Ministry of Hope. It was always her heart’s desire to serve the senior citizen community and currently Page County. She reached out to minister to three nursing homes in the area and to those in her church, as well as any seniors she would encounter. She served on the Board for the Life Center in Luray where she also volunteered.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2022, at Rileyville Baptist Church. Viewing will be at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. There will be a reception following the service at the church. Internment will take place in Winter Park, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Tabitha’s Ministry of Hope, payable to Rileyville Baptist Church and in memo of check, designating Tabitha’s Ministry of Hope.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
